Meet Your Cake Artist
Hi! As a young girl my fondest memories were at Christmas time when I would go over to my Aunt Sandra’s house and bake all day long. My entire life I knew I wanted to do something with my creativity and have always strived to make unique things that people would enjoy. Into my adult life I knew I wanted to be my own boss so I went to school for business. It wasn’t until 2013, I was working an administrative job and a conversation between a co-worker/friend that I realized we had the same love for baking. We decided it would be fun to take a Cake Decorating class at Michaels. Well, what was supposed to just be fun for us ended up sparking a fire in me and I knew from there that this is what I was meant to do!
I started like most people, illegally working from home...oops! Getting a talking to by Public Health was the push I needed to quit my desk job and open up shop! It’s kinda scary to take a big jump like that especially when you are a mom of 3 and they depend on you to be able to provide for them. But it was SO worth it!
I view my work as art, it’s not just a cake to me. I want to make people smile. I love watching the reaction on kids faces when they see their cake. I love smash cake sessions! Babies are adorable! I live for the beauty in Wedding Cakes. I may be quite the eccentric on a personal level but I truly have a passion for beautiful cake art.
