FAQ

Custom cakes are just that – custom. Quotes are created using a base price (see pricing guide) and go up depending on Sizing, Finish, Figures, Flowers and any other design variables.

We generally book up one to two months in advance for celebration cakes so placing your order well in advance is always suggested as no spot is guaranteed. For Weddings we suggest 6 mths to 1 year prior.

We offer tastings for larger ($300+) orders only. Currently tastings consist of 3 flavours of cupcakes, 2 of each flavour. We do not do a formal sit down tasting. You are free to take your cupcakes home to taste at your leisure. The cost for this is $20 and if you choose to book your wedding with us then that cost will come off the total of your order.

Deposits are required before your order gets entered into our calendar. For Celebration cakes deposits are 50% of the total order with remainder due at pickup. For Weddings deposits are either 50% or a flat fee which will be determined based on the size of the order with the remainder due 1 week prior to delivery.
We understand that sometimes extenuating circumstances may come into play and you may need to cancel. At that point it is up to the company’s discretion as to whether or not any refund may occur. However, as a general rule all deposits are non refundable. If you need to change the date of your event the deposit may be pulled forward to the new date if it is available. We do our best to accommodate our customers but we also can’t work miracles in the chances that we are completely booked at the time of your new date.

Currently we run a commercial kitchen which is insured and inspected by the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health department. All pickups and consultations are done in the dining room of the restaurant above our kitchen.

Absolutely not! We also offer cupcakes, cookies, cakepops, macarons, brownies and many other treats mainly geared to holiday seasons. We would be more than happy to help fill your Wedding sweets table.

If the allergy involves the risk of anaphylactic shock then we will not take that risk. Those orders are better handled by a specialty shop. For anything else we are limited. Dairy, egg, soy free are possible. Gluten Free is not something we currently offer. Vegan and low sugar/diabetic products can be made but flavours are limited.

We do delivery and set up for Weddings within a 2 hour radius and the fee is build into your quote. For celebration cakes there is a small fee added depending on the location.

No, our recipes have all been tested and approved. I will not put out a product that I have not had time to test. Besides no one can make it like Grandma!

We accept Cash, Credit and EMT. Getting Debit is a work in progress and we hope to offer it soon.

We suggest that you place your order for the day you would like to pick up. We plan our week out between purchasing ingredients and supplies, making fondant figures and flowers, baking and decorating. When someone needs to pick up early it throws a wedge into our planning process and creates a ripple effect for all other orders and will throw off our completion timelines.
